Turning Tables

As you may have seen in the restaurant or on Facebook, Fat Hen has recently updated the interior with brand new tables from local Charleston designers. In May, the community table in the front of the restaurant as well as the round table in the dining room were both replaced by one-of-a-kind pieces from Robert Sarco. Along with the tables, Sarco hand made a new light fixture from a 19th century kerosene heater. To match the modern décor, Caper Cauthen of Landrum Tables built beautiful new dining tables that will be delivered on July 1.

BBQ Duck and Butchers Steak Come Back

Have you missed chef Neuville’s famous bbq duck sandwich? The unique sandwich has received praise from visitors and locals alike who adore the duck confit with pomegranate bbq sauce and bacon bleu cheese coleslaw. Even while off the menu the sandwich was named one of Charleston’s most iconic sandwiches by Eater Charleston. Chef-owner Fred Neuville decided to put the treasured treat back on the brunch menu, and he has also put the Butchers Steak with demi-glace and Bearnaise back on the dinner menu. Trip Advisor “Certificate of Excellence” Award We’d like to thank all of our guests, from near and far, for the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor.
